Wastewater 31 July, 2018 Wet Well Refurbishment Stonbury were contracted to undertake refurbishment works to a deteriorating waste water wet well. Inspection to the asset had found defected concrete surfaces and exposed and corroded steel reinforcement caused by hydrogen sulphide attack.
Wastewater 1 May, 2018 Lagoon Refurbishment A final settlement lagoon required repair and refurbishment work due to wildlife damage and bank slippage, which had caused the lagoon to leak. A ‘Land Drainage’ consent from the local council was required before the works to the channel could go ahead.
Water 3 April, 2018 Surge Vessel Refurbishment Stonbury was contracted for the refurbishment of 3 No surge vessels after an inspection highlighted the manways did not conform to the current confined space specification. Works involved the installation of new manways along with the removal and replacement of the existing internal coatings.

Environment 7 February, 2018 Access Platform Stonbury was asked to fabricate and install a bespoke access gantry, fencing, ladder and gate at an outfall in Bristol due to unsafe access for maintenance teams.
Environment 3 January, 2018 Invertebrate Surveys Stonbury completed two invertebrate surveys on the River Avon to sample above and below discharge points, using a Yorkshire Pattern airlift pump.
Wastewater 21 December, 2017 Lagoon Repair and Refurbishment To extend the life of two final settlement lagoons, Stonbury was required to carry out refurbishment works, which included repairs to the outfall structure, the installation of an EPDM liners and replacement pipework.
Environment 29 November, 2017 Maintenance Works Stonbury was contracted to carry out maintenance works along a section of a man-made channel after years of neglect had caused the channel to become overgrown.
Environment 8 November, 2017 Weed Rack Fabrication Stonbury were engaged to fabricate and install a new weed rack as part of the Environment Agency WLMP programme at Bodenham, near Salisbury. The weed rack was fabricated to EA specifications inhouse.
Environment 7 November, 2017 Silt Removal Stonbury were set to task by the Environment Agency to carefully remove silt from a section of channel in the River Brit.
Environment 12 October, 2017 Eel Pass Fabrication and Installation Stonbury were asked to investigate the use of hydraulic ram pumps as an alternative to electrically powered pumps for the Environment Agency, who required the installation of an eel pass on a crump weir in Bristol.
