Invasive Species Clearance

Stonbury was contacted by a local council regarding an on-line balancing pond that was built on the Moorgreen Stream, due to overgrowth of Typha latifolia (bulrush/reedmace) and the presence of the invasive non-native Hydrocotyle ranunculoides (floating pennywort) identified by the Environment Agency.

WTW Contact Tank Solution

Stonbury was contracted to produce and install a new solution to increase the water quality output from two Water Treatment Works contact tanks, after the client’s recent step tests highlighted that at flows exceeding 20Ml/d, output failed to meet the minimum disinfection contact requirement.

Historic Reservoir Refurbishment

Stonbury returned to a historic site to complete a large-scale refurbishment on a grade II listed stone reservoir. A roof was placed over the original build in the mid-twentieth century, and Stonbury were contracted nine years ago to install a Reg 31 Hylam liner due to ingress.

Surge Vessel Access & Lining Refurbishment
