Environment 26 August, 2019 Fish & Eel Pass Installation Stonbury were contracted by the Environment Agency to construct a new fish and eel passage on the River Colne, allowing safe migration over an existing gauging weir.
Water 26 August, 2019 Reservoir Roof Replacement Stonbury were recently contracted to install a bonded membrane system to a service reservoir roof. However, following further investigation, it was clear that with the configuration of the existing structure, this would not be possible.
Water 22 July, 2019 Bridge & Spillway Refurbishment The bridge came up in a section10 inspection, which was deemed to require attention. It was decided that a new protective paint system would be applied to the whole structure.
Environment 22 July, 2019 Public Park Desilt Stonbury were contracted to carry out desilting works to an ornamental lake at a public park. The works required; a ‘Flood Risk Activities’ permit, pollution control and regular monitoring.
Environment 5 June, 2019 River Survey Stonbury recently completed a comprehensive river survey in the South West of England, to provide the client with a better understanding of the fish populations within a local river.
Wastewater 5 June, 2019 New Build Inlet Structure As part of significant capital maintenance to a wastewater treatment works (WWTW) in Southern Scotland, Stonbury were contracted to construct a new sewage inlet structure during SR15, complete with inlet & outlet DI pipework and an RC magflow chamber.
Wastewater 20 May, 2019 Sludge Holding Tank Refurbishment Stonbury were contracted by a framework client to refurbish two sludge holding tanks at a sewage treatment works constructed in the early 1970’s. The works formed part of a larger upgrade to the waste water treatment works and this element of the project required specialists in the application of chemical protective lining systems.
