Stonbury have operated as the incumbent cleaning and minor remedial works Framework contractor for Severn Trent Water since 2013 successfully delivering inspection assistance, scope recommendations, minor remedial works and subsequent cleaning and chlorination of water delivery and water production structures throughout the Severn Trent network.
Through the inspection process, Severn Trent identified the need for more substantial repairs to update their asset base and so started a tender process in December 2016 for a DSR Major Repairs Arrangement for a 12 month period (with an option to extend for 6 months) from April 2017 onwards.
The agreement was to ensure that Severn Trent Water had dedicated supply chain delivery partners, commercially assessed within the market, to deliver an enhanced programme of major repairs.
After an intensive 3 month tendering process where we were extensively challenged to think laterally and developing sustainable, yet strong efficiency delivery models, Stonbury are delighted to have been awarded the Framework on a sole supplier basis and this award hugely supports our ongoing growth plans for the regional ‘Green Team’ who are responsible for delivery of the Framework.
The Green Team, currently based at the Severn Trent Melbourne WTW are near to opening their new regional office, based in Derby, which has been specifically chosen for it’s ability to cater client hot-desking and meeting facilities, which will no doubt reinforce and build on the already strong working relationship between Stonbury and Severn Trent Water.
The delivery and commercial model developed for the DSR programme is also being offered over the Severn Trent wider infrastructure network, we are excited to see what new challenges that may bring.
