Stonbury sponsors the Great North Snow Dogs

Stonbury proudly supplied four concrete plinths for the snow poochies to perch on for the Great North Snow Dogs project.

Creative producers, Wild in Art, worked in partnership with St Oswald's Children’s Hospice and the Great North Snow Dogs to bring together businesses, artists, schools and community groups to create a public art trail of Snow Dog and Snow Puppy sculptures, based on the story The Snowman and The Snow Dog, by Raymond Briggs.

For a total of ten weeks, the sculptures were placed in various locations across the North East in streets, parks and open spaces, taking followers on an adventure in the hunt for tracking down the Snow Dogs.

Each Snow Dog sculpture has been individually designed and painted by a mix of well-known and yet to be discovered artists. A separate trail of smaller Snow Puppies, created by local school children and community groups were also be exhibited, celebrating the talent of the young people of the North East.

The sculptures will be auctioned in December 2016 to find their forever homes, raising funds for St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice.
