Stonbury are delighted to announce their success in securing Costain’s ‘Maintenance Service Framework’ for United Utilities, covering AMP6 to AMP8.
Stonbury have been working with United Utilities since 2012, under The Water Retaining Structures Remedial Works framework agreement. This involved responsibility for the identified maintenance of all United Utilities service reservoirs under their inspection programme. The new framework now facilitated through Costain, has an initial term of five years replacing the existing contract. There is also an option for extension up to 2029.
The core activities will comprise of emergency, reactive and proactive optimised maintenance services for potable water reservoir assets throughout the United Utilities’ region.
There will also be opportunity to tender for other refurbishment projects such as clean and wastewater retaining structures and works to impounding structures including dams and spillways.
"We are extremely happy to renew our framework with Costain allowing us to continue servicing United Utilities, we have been working with the team since 2012 and look forward to continuing the collaborative work we have completed over the past 7 years".
Over the years, Stonbury have worked closely with Costain as an incumbent framework contractor for a number of water companies. We look forward to building a stronger collaborative relationship over AMP 7 and beyond.
Securing the contract means Stonbury currently have 15no frameworks to deliver for UK water companies at the start of Amp 7. We have extensively planned to further enhance our profile in this sector over the coming years.
"We are naturally excited to build on our excellent relationships with both United Utilities and Costain through this opportunity. This contract is seen as one of the cornerstones for Stonbury’s planned growth strategy over the next period".
We look forward to delivering this contract.
