Thompsons Group has joined the Stonbury Group of Companies.
Based in Derbyshire, Thompsons is a highly respected specialist environmental business with extensive expertise in arboriculture, vegetation management, ecology and environmental consultancy, landscaping, and invasive species management.
The acquisition welcomes 50 new colleagues into the Stonbury Group. This acquisition represents another important step in strengthening the businesses capabilities, expanding their reach and investing into their future. Together, they are building the best place to work and creating the UK’s leading specialist infrastructure and environmental services business, united by a shared commitment to their clients, communities and the environment.
Thompsons’ experience and expertise strengthen the Stonbury Group’s capabilities. As clients increasingly look for partners who can support both their infrastructure and the wider environmental challenges surrounding their assets, this acquisition will enable the business to provide an increasingly integrated range of specialist solutions.
It also creates exciting opportunities to introduce Thompsons’ capabilities to Stonbury’s established client base, particularly within the UK water sector, while bringing the wider Group’s expertise to new clients and markets.
Jack Thompson will continue to lead Thompsons Group, supported by the existing management team and the wider Stonbury Group.
