Stonbury were contracted to refurbish the roof of a live contact tank & high lift sump to eradicate water ingress issues from existing membrane and joint failures.
This job consisted of:
Installation of 120m MOT roadway for access to the CT & HLS
Machine excavate soil overburdens and form trenches to the perimeter of both tanks
Break out 4th side concrete embankment of the HLS to 650mm below roof slab and reinstate with Gabion Baskets detail finish.
Prepare roof slabs for the application of 3615m2 Xeric membrane
Overband roof joints - Thoroflex
Install 1m wide reinforcement membrane strips over all perimeter roof wall joints/existing water bars
Install bitumen sheet roof membranes
Apply batten & Aqualine edge detail to perimeter of roofs and upstands
Install Geofabric membrane
Install new perimeter drainage system and outer perimeter land drains
